Shipgaz Training is a learning platform for the maritime industry. We allow you to complete your training whether you are at home, in the office or on board your ship. All you need is a computer and Internet access. The certificate is issued immediately after exam and emailed to your inbox. 

We think that  maritime training should be fast, affordable and easy. Therefore we built a online platform that allow you to complete the training for your onboard personell whether you are at home, in the office or on board your ship. All you need is a computer, a webcam and a reliable internet connection. 

Shipgaz Training has been around since 2009. We started as a side project funded by the people making the onboard shipping and safety magazine "Shipgaz". Now this is our main business and we help more then 200 shipping companies with their safety and training.

We are owned by the Swedish Shipping Association and MariTrain AB. We're located in the heart of the Gothenburg harbour on the Swedish west coast.

Quality assured

We are approved by DNV Seaskills™. DNV certifies that our competence management system is according to  DNVGL-ST-0049 Competence Management Systems. Managing competence requires close cooperation between sea and shore regarding job analysis, identifying competence gaps, training or coaching needs as well as registration. Our certificates are approved by The Swedish Transport Agency and several other maritime administrations. All our certificates comply with vetting and port inspection standards.

No signup fees, no administrative costs and no installation or startup cost. We only charge when an certificate is issued.
